Background Information :

In addition to advertising, we solicited bids from local vendors for the purchase of a driver's education vehicle (specifications attached), which will be budgeted in the General Purpose School Fund for the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year. We received bids from two (2) local vendors (Herman Jenkins and Union City Ford did not submit a bid). Individual bids were as follows:

Terry Petty Chevrolet-Buick – $18,657.90
Kenton Chevrolet – $19,765.65

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the low bid submitted by Terry Petty Chevrolet-Buick for $18,657.90. With this approval, it is the intent of the Board and management that no liability will be incurred, nor a purchase order issued, until the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014.
